Demonstration:
“There will be a large amount of work displayed in various stages of completion. Throughout the tour I will discuss how pieces were executed, discuss and encourage critique, and demonstrate any process requested, traffic allowing.”
Directions to studio:
From Rhody Drive, turn left onto Irondale. Go all the way through Irondale to the “Entering Port Hadlock” sign. I am the 5th house on the left, across the street from the pink house.
From Port Hadlock QFC Market, follow Irondale as it makes two obvious bends to the left. On the left is the Masonic Hall Road sign, followed by a pink house. I am across the street.
Artist statement:
“I paint about the beauty of nature, it’s energy and it’s interdependency. I hope by bringing some of that beauty inside to be enjoyed, I also can help keep us conscious of how much we are just a part of nature and must play by the rules that have made us.
When I watercolor, I am part of a quartet and maybe not even the lead member. The other members are watercolor paint with its various properties, brushes with their own vocabularies, and paper making very strong suggestions. My job seems to be more like the director of a play than a painter; it is my job to pick the right players and give them the opportunity to put on their best show.”
The studio open during the remainder of the year.
