Artist statement:
“I’ve always been particularly drawn to copper for its flexibility and versatility. For creating fabricated sculpture, it provides a perfect match to my machine shop training. Copper brings to fabrication a new possibility for producing two and three-dimensional pieces, both large and small, that overcome the more functional-look and stilted-quality sometimes found in metal fabrication. Over the years, I’ve developed my own techniques for producing a wide variety of copper sculptural pieces to add grace and beauty to clients’ homes and garden spaces, while bringing that traditionally functional medium further into the realm of fine arts and crafts. Working in copper personally challenges and always rewards me as I continually look for ways to express new design ideas.”
The studio is open during the remainder of the year.
