Artist Statement:

Margaret Takaki creates mixed media figurative sculptures and Japanese pottery. The sculptures emphasize the best in humanity, often of older women who have worked hard to survive. Their seriousness reflects dedication and commitment. The Japanese ceramics are hand built stoneware pieces, utilitarian in purpose, most often using iron oxides and either shino or a bone ash glaze.

Studio is open by appointment during the remainder of the year.
