Carapace Arts: Mark Stevenson & Sara Ybarra Lopez
460 Martin Rd
Port Townsend, WA 98368
Here you will see presentation materials and works in progress that demonstrate sculpture making from armature to cast work. Our studio is extensive–offering a full mold making and metal welding tour, as well as finished pieces on view.
Upon leaving Port Townsend, take a right onto HWY 20, then another right at Martin Road, visible by many mailboxes and a pig farm. Following Martin Road till you see our fire sign on the right. Best to park on the road. From out of town, take a left at the light (where the U-Haul business is) onto HWY 20 and the rest of the directions are the same.
At Carapace Arts Studio in Port Townsend, sculptors Mark Twain Stevenson and Sara Ybarra Lopez create bronze and mixed media sculpture. Mark’s work is figurative with a range of material: steel and rope, stainless and stone. To compliment the graceful range of Mark’s work, Sara’s sculpture is folkloric, narrative and humorous.
Studio is open by appointment during the remainder of the year.
