I work with sterling silver wire using cold connection techniques and with fine silver wire using fusing techniques. I will demonstrate the wrapping techniques used to make jewelry with a combination of sterling silver wire, pearls, gemstones, and crystals. I will also show how to use a butane torch to fuse fine silver wire to form and connect different shapes that are made into necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
Take Highway 19 out of Port Townsend. Turn left onto Woodland Drive (which is directly opposite the Jefferson International Airport entrance) and follow 1.2 miles around to 1221 Woodland.
I use silver wire with freshwater pearls, semi-precious gemstones, handmade glass beads, and crystals to create simple but elegant jewelry styles. I work to bring together the natural colors of the materials I use in ways that enhance each other and create wearable art that is attractive and unique. I have recently added work with fused fine silver wire to my wire wrapping methods and used this technique to expand my range of designs.
Studio is open by appointment during the remainder of the year.
