Change is the only constant, and standing still is an alien concept to me. In January 2004, I changed my studio around to accommodate the making of oil paintings and pastel drawings, in addition to glass and concrete sculpture that I had concentrated on previously. Despite an academic education in the biology/medical field, I’ve been an artist all my life, and different processes fulfill my expressive needs at different times.

The turmoil I perceive in our current world has me looking deeply at people, looking for how they express their emotions. And I’m also looking for things and places of beauty that give me a rest from the intensity. I seek comfort in colors, and try to portray this.

Directions

Take Hastings towards Cape George to Howard Street; take a right. Go to the end of Howard to 35th Street; take a right. The studio is the 2nd driveway on the left with the sign on the tree: 2302. Please park on 35th, off the road.
