Studio: Mark Saran is a painter and photographer who most enjoys the creative process’ spontaneity and mystery. Using vibrant colors, he takes the forward step in “what’s next” to create abstract works, which sometimes depict quiet reflection and, at other times, the grasp of the impulse unsuppressed. Norma Fried — The complexities of culture and society constantly intrigue me, and I use art to explore those complexities. My extensive background in printing, metalwork, photography, and painting allows me to freely explore media that reinforces my subject choice. Always, I hope places exist that resonate and allow participation for dialogue with the viewer. Jeane Myers — My work is process. The journey is driven not by a concept or idea, but rather by the question, “What if?” “What if” I put a mark here? “What if” I lay color there? “What if” I write a diary entry in this corner? All the “what ifs” create an under painting that is my map. This map is my doorway into an exploration of what lies beneath the visible outer layer. The journey can take as little as a few hours or traverse years. Ellen Reichart is a painter and sculptor whose inspiration comes from her reverence for nature, the impact of relationships, and universal patterns that connect them. Reichart works from memory and dream images and is drawn to the challenge of merging inner and outer worlds. Her work focuses on the sacred within the physical and the tension between the two. An expressionist, Reichart uses painting and sculpture to converse in color and texture. DirectionsFollow sign to Centrum’s Print Studio at |
